These are still fun and I was particularl 3.5/5 Definitely a weaker volume though still fun enough. After that in typical "Slime" fashion there are a lot of meeting's and planning sessions. The first 1/5th is roll over from volume 7 and wrapping things up after the battle with Hinata and the church.
There are no big baddies this time around and not much "action" at all. This one covers Rimuru's plans to hold a giant festival and invite all of the world's leaders both traditional and Demon Lords. It's more laid-back too, since most of the problems that previously barrage them are gone. This ended rather fast, given how it's shorter than the previous two volumes. That semblance of happiness and freedom before something huge drops. However, I have the feeling it's the fun (yes, some sort of pun lol) before the storm.
It's not one you'd be THAT willing to clamp on because it's laid back and thus easier to leave for later.
